The Brazilian singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Eduardo "Ed" Motta is a pop artist with the soul of a jazz musician. He makes light, seemingly effortless music that connects with musicians and jazz fans at a profound level, through artistry, musicianship and an engaging personality.
In 1990, Motta departed to begin his solo career, recording his debut Um Contrato Com Deus, where he played almost all the instruments by himself. Since then he has released several solo albums.
